National Commodore Club membership is defined as gifts received to Vanderbilt Athletics from July 1 to June 30. This includes, but is not limited to, gifts made to the Athletics General Fund, sport-specific excellence funds, Vandy United Fund, capital projects, scholarships, special events/fundraisers and seat and parking donations. For benefits associated with annual gifts and pledges of $50,000 or more please refer to the McGugin Society benefits chart. Donor must be a season ticket holder to qualify for the opportunity to purchase reserved parking. *Gifts up to $100. National Commodore Club benefits are contracted annually and are subject to change at the discretion of the National Commodore Club. Vanderbilt Athletics reserves the right to revoke membership benefits if a member is found to be in violation of NCAA rules and/or department policies.

Giving Societies

    1933 Society

    The most prestigious level of giving to Vanderbilt Athletics, the 1933 Society includes donors whose lifetime giving is $250,000 or more. A year of historical importance for the university's athletics programs, 1933 marks the beginning of play in the Southeastern Conference, where Vanderbilt is a founding member. Members will receive special recognition and benefits for their generous commitment.

    Sarratt Society

    Sarratt Society donors understand the legacy that a planned gift creates at Vanderbilt. Planned gifts secure a strong future for our student-athletes, coaches, programs and fans, allowing Vanderbilt to plan most effectively for the days ahead. Donors who document bequests of $500,000 or more to Vanderbilt Athletics will receive special recognition.

    McGugin Society

    The McGugin Society is the leadership giving society created to recognize Vanderbilt's most generous athletics donors. As the premier level of the National Commodore Club, the society includes donors who make commitments to any area of Vanderbilt Athletics, including Vandy United, scholarships, excellence funds and the athletics general fund. Members of the McGugin Society receive access to exclusive experiences, gear, hospitality and ticketing/parking benefits. For more information, please visit the McGugin Society webpage.

  • Contributions to the National Commodore Club are 100% tax-deductible if you decline all benefits.

  • Per-seat gift requirements are non-tax-deductible gifts in support of Vanderbilt student-athletes. These gifts are included in the cost of season tickets and parking for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.

  • The McGugin Society is a leadership giving society created to recognize Vanderbilt’s most generous athletics donors. Membership includes donors who make commitments of at least $50,000 to any area of Vanderbilt Athletics. Commitments can be annual gifts or pledged over five years.

  • Benefits last through the pledge commitment (annually) to Vanderbilt Athletics.

  • Seating and parking donations are included in the total price of season tickets and parking and due at the time of purchase or renewal.

  • All historical points have bene maintained within each donor/season ticket holder’s account. Under the current priority system, all National Commodore Club members are rewarded for their annual investments in Vanderbilt Athletics. Please reference the priority points chart for details.

  • No. Annual per-seat gift requirements are included in the total cost of season tickets and parking and may not be applied across multiple sports.

  • Yes. Payment plans are available through the Vanderbilt Athletics ticket office.

  • To make a gift to Vanderbilt Athletics, please call the National Commodore Club (615-322-4114) or Gift and Donor Services (800-288-0082). Contributions also are accepted online or by mail.

  • No. Donations made outside of the purchase of season tickets and/or parking may not be applied as per-seat donations for any sport.

  • No. As of January 2018 donations tied to athletics seating are not tax-deductible (Tax Act of 2017).
